What’s my gift? Making a way when there isn’t one. As I look back on my life, defying the odds has been the common theme that’s threaded throughout each major achievement.

My entrepreneurial journey began at 15-years-old. At the time, 4-H, showing horses, rodeoing and stacking accolades to boost my chances of college acceptance was my all-consuming focus. I needed money, but I didn’t have the time for a traditional job. So, I created my own. I designed flyers for yard work, house cleaning and horse exercising and posted them around town. Within a week, I engaged three clients, one of which would soon change the trajectory of my entire career as a lifelong mentor. 

The next hurdle was college. I was accepted to Colorado State University (CSU) but due to severe adverse circumstances at home, I didn’t have a single dollar for a four-year degree. I knew financial aid was the only way, so I made a massive commitment to myself: not only was I going to be a first-generation graduate, but I was going to persevere in achieving a degree completely debt-free. Hundreds of scholarship and grant applications later, I did it. I earned my degree in Equine Science with minors in Business Administration and Spanish without a single penny owed.

While at CSU, I took advantage of every opportunity to gain career traction post-graduation. I was an American Quarter Horse Judging Team Member, Equine Science Steward, Collegiate Horseman’s Association Leader and Legends of Ranching Horse Sale Colt Trainer and Sales Student. In addition, I immersed myself in internship opportunities with the National Western Stock Show and National High School Rodeo Association. 

What happened next turned my 30-year plan upside down. I landed my dream job, the one I thought I needed years of striving toward, less than six months after earning my degree. I moved to Amarillo, Texas, to serve the American Quarter Horse Association International Department as the Manager of Multilingual Resources and Communication. In this role, our team developed trade solutions, implemented new programs and improved communication with 36 international affiliates and members in more than 100 countries to promote American Quarter Horse ownership and grow the association globally. 

Three years later, I made a major decision. I left my career to pursue a lifelong dream as Miss Rodeo Colorado 2022, a dream I’d waited 13 years to achieve. Once again, I found myself with zero dollars to my name and a very expensive, year-long journey ahead. Through this experience I gained valuable fundraising skills, as I achieved my goal of raising $60,000 to successfully conduct my year. As a brand ambassador and official spokesperson for the sport of professional rodeo, I traveled more than 40,000 miles across the nation, appearing at more than 100 rodeo performances, schools and civic groups to educate the public and promote the sport of rodeo, its sponsors, and its opportunities. Through my platform, Take las Riendas (the reins), I led cross-cultural collaboration and promotional efforts between English and Spanish speakers in the western industry and concluded my year with a top five finish at the 2023 Miss Rodeo America Pageant.

Upon completion of my reign, it was time to continue my career journey, so I started reaching out to my network. One inspiring call and unique connection later, I accepted a role at a western media startup, Teton Ridge, as the Gaming Senior Product Engagement Manager. In this capacity, I scaled brand strategies and oversaw all marketing, digital innovation and event management efforts for a portfolio of sports gaming and entertainment brands, including the official Fantasy game of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and Rodeo Vegas, the premiere National Finals Rodeo After-Party. In addition, I piloted first-of-their-kind fan engagement initiatives by selling, designing and implementing live in-stadium, free-to-play games at western sports events throughout the nation.

In 2025, I realized it was time to once again pursue my entrepreneurial passion. I launched Baller Consulting to catalyze success for high-performing individuals and growing companies seeking to define their voice, sharpen their message and better engage high-value audiences through refined, high-impact brand strategies, custom coaching and enhanced event execution.

As an equine specialist with a lifetime of western lifestyle expertise, I serve as a voice to promote the advancement of the equine, agricultural and western-lifestyle sectors to sustain their livelihood for generations to come. I am proud to impact the future of the west by supporting organizational development initiatives as a Colorado State University Equine Sciences Advisory Council member and Brighton High School Future Farmers of America Committee Member. In my free time, you can find me riding my horses, enjoying Colorado’s outdoors, laughing with friends and family, and traveling the world!
